Hello!! Thanks for stopping by.

I mostly created this website because my dad thought it would be important to secure my domain name. Now, I’m glad he had the foresight of how hard it is snag your url before the other Miranda Prasad in the world grabs it- so thanks Papa Shail!! Welcome to my site where my resume, some of my experiences and photos are available to see (at this moment, I’m not sure what else I want to put on it). And please feel free to contact me about anything and everything!

about me

I grew up in Rockaway, New Jersey with my parents and three sisters. I was lucky enough to travel a lot at a young age which inspired my love for traveling the world and experiencing new cultures. The first time I saw a real mountain was on a road trip from Seattle to Boulder in the summer before my freshman year of college with my oldest (and now engaged!!!) sister, Sasha. I was completely in awe of these huge things that were just sticking out of the earth??!! You don't see mountains like that growing up in Jersey. Glacier National Park altered the path of my life- I became addicted to hiking and the rewards that come from climbing up a really hard, nearly-vertical mass.  I'm able to combine my other passions, like traveling, photography, and running, through this love of mountains which continues to contribute to my admiration for nature as a whole. Besides that, I really love food. I think that it is by far the best way to connect to people around the world. One of my favorite things to do after a long day is come home and cook a new meal with origins from which I've traveled to or researched.

I graduated from Northeastern University in May of 2018. Going to Northeastern University allowed me to study and work abroad; I did a semester in Greece and a 6 month co-op in Australia. Through 2-years worth of real-world experience I was able to confirm that I want to pursue a career involving finance, analytics or data management (or a combination!). I grew up around the entrepreneurial space and was always interested in technological innovations because of it. So, after graduating college with a combined Bachelors in Finance and Management Information Systems, and a Master’s in Finance, I began my search for a full-time job that fulfilled my professional goals, and aligned with my moral beliefs (I am a millennial after all). I landed an awesome job with the perfect company at Intuit- where they exist to support the small business owners of our world in a society that favors oligopolies. I have now been on the Risk Payments team at Intuit for almost a year and moved all the way to Tucson, Arizona (surrounded by mountains!!) for it! It’s been an awesome experience working for this Fortune 100 firm and I am so excited to embark on this new chapter in my life and work to make a positive difference in the world through my career and personal hobbies.
